2019文化財ウィーク展示資料解説p.7(16)「図の名称からわかるように、明治宮殿の奥宮殿設計の参考とした京都御所の御常御殿（おつねごてん）の平面図です。明治宮殿も京都御所も、中央に御寝の間（寝室）を置き、南側に主要な部屋を並べています。神器が安置されていた「剣璽（けんじ）之間」と「上段之間」にも顕著に京都御所の御常御殿の形式が踏襲されています。（Layout of Emperor's Ordinary Residence at the Kyoto Palace (Reference for Construction of Meiji Palace)）As indicated by its name, this is a floor plan of the emperor's ordinary residence at the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as a reference for construction of the Inner Palace of the Meiji Palace. Both the Kyoto and Meiji Palaces had the bedchambers at the center, with important rooms lining the south side. The design of the Kyoto Palace ordinary residence has been followed faithfully, especially in spaces such as the Upper Chamber and the Chamber of the Sacred Treasures.」
