2024文化財ウィークp.9(24)「将軍は、夕食前に入浴しました。中奥の「御湯殿」で、小姓が将軍の衣服を脱がせ、隣接する風呂場で小納戸が糠袋で将軍の身体を洗いました。また、四代将軍家綱の頃から熱海温泉の湯を江戸城まで運ぶ「御汲湯(おくみゆ)」が行われていました。最初は熱海の温泉の大湯の湯を陸路で運搬していましたが、享保年間（1716-1736）からは海上運送となりました。熱海温泉は、温泉のランキングリストである温泉番付でも、「行司」という別格扱いの温泉でした。(Ranking of Therapeutic Properties of Hot Springs in Different Domains)The Shōgun bathed before his evening meal, attended by pages.From the time of the fourth Shōgun Ietsuna, spring water from the Atami hot springs district was transported to Edo Castle for the Shōgun’s use.
