(Edo Jiman Game)This is a game of sugoroku (a board game in which players roll dice to advance their token) with Nihonbashi as the starting point and Asakusa as the finish. In the late Edo period, it grew popular to go out walking to shrines and temples, seasonal attractions, and the like, and these spots became well-known. This sugoroku board gave people the virtual experience of visiting many famous places in a single game.」,『第2回江戸資料展』図録解説p.26「双六。
