2015文化財ウィーク『江戸城から明治宮殿へ』図録p.13「赤坂仮皇居の敷地内には、皇城(こうじょう)内にあった太政官と宮内省が移設されていました。太政官については、一時は馬場先門内の旧教部省庁舎に太政官代が設置されますが、明治10年（1877）に仮皇居内に移転することになり、その翌年に絵の中央奥に描かれた木造様式2階建ての庁舎が完成しました。明治18年（1885）に太政官制度が廃止され、内閣制度へと移行した後も、明治22年（1889）に明治宮殿内に移転するまで、引き続き内閣庁舎として使われました。（A True Depiction of the Akasaka Temporary Palace and the Offices of the Grand Council of State）The Akasaka Temporary Palace not only served as the residence of the Emperor, but also housed the offices of the Grand Council of State and Imperial Household Ministry.
