2011大規模企画展(55)「白木屋は現在の東急百貨店の前身です。近江商人を代表する呉服屋の大店で呉服、木綿、繰綿などの下り物を扱っていました。大伝馬町は下り物の木綿を扱う店が多く軒を並べていました。(Shirokiya)Shirokiya was the former name of Tokyu Department Store. It was a famous dry-goods store representing Ōmi merchants, and the store sold dry goods, cotton, ginned cotton, etc. The streets of Ōdenma Town were lined with numerous shops selling cotton goods and other products shipped tp Edo from Kyoto and nearby areas.」
