2016文化財ウィーク(44)「塩冶判官の家臣大星力弥が、使者として桃井若狭之助の屋敷を訪ねます。桃井家の家老加古川本蔵の娘小浪(こなみ)は、力弥と許婚の仲なので、義母の戸無瀬(となせ)の計らいで、小浪が力弥を迎えます。一方、若狭之助は、師直(もろなお)から受けた侮辱に我慢がならず、殿中で師直を討つことを決意し、本蔵に伝えます。本蔵は、庭の松を一枝切り落として同意すると見せかけますが、主人の危機を未然に防ぐため、後で師直のもとへ急ぎます。（Kanadehon Chūshingura, Act 2）Ōboshi Rikiya, a retainer of En'ya Hangan, visits the residence of Momonoi Wakasanosuke with a message. The chief retainer of the Momonoi household is Kakogawa Honzō, whose daughter Konami is betrothed to Rikiya. Under the arrangements of her mother-in-law Tonase, Konami goes to visit Rikiya. Meanwhile, Wakasanosuke is unable to endure the insult he received from Moronao and decides to kill him in the palace, a plan which he conveys to Honzō. Honzō pretends to agree with the plan but later rushes to Moronao's residence to prevent any danger befalling his master.」
