2023文化財ウィーク展示資料解説p.14(42)「江戸時代の代表的な絵師である初代歌川広重が日本橋を描いた名所絵です。雪景色の江戸城が橋の向こうに見えます。題名の「三ツ」は、江戸城・富士山・日本橋のことと言われていて、多くの日本橋の名所絵にはこの三つが描かれています。また、日本橋と江戸橋の間に魚河岸があり、天秤棒を担いだ魚屋と思われる棒手振(ぼてふり)も数多く登場しています。(Three Famous Views of Edo: Nihonbashi)This is a meisho-e (picture of famous place) of the Nihonbashi bridge, produced by Utagawa Hiroshige the First, one of the foremost ukiyoe woodblock print artists of the Edo period. The snow-covered Edo Castle can be seen on the far side of the bridge. The "three" in the work's title is said to refer to Edo Castle, Mt. Fuji, and the Nihonbashi bridge, and many pictures of the bridge depict all three of these locations.」
