2023文化財ウィーク第二会場(11)「手前の広場には本丸表御殿の大広間や能舞台がありましたが、文久3年(1863)にすべて焼失しました。右の数寄屋二重櫓は、明治に入り撤去されました。後方の木立は西丸にあった紅葉山(もみじやま)です。ここには歴代将軍の霊廟(れいびょう)や鉄砲蔵などの武器庫、将軍家の蔵書を集めた「紅葉山文庫」がありました。紅葉山文庫は、家康が設置した富士見亭の文庫が前身です。現在その蔵書は国立公文書館に引き継がれています。(Sukiya Two-Story Turret and Honmaru palace Site (Edo Castle photography Collection))The open area in the foreground of this photograph is where the Ō-hiroma Grand Hall and Noh stage of the Honmaru palace once stood. The building to the right is the Sukiya Two-Story Turret that was dismantled in the Meiji period. The trees in the background are in the Momijiyama area located in the Nishinomaru. This was the site of the mausoleum of the Shōguns, the armory including the firearms house, and the Momijiyama Library, where the Shōgun's household documents were stored.」
