2019文化財ウィーク展示資料解説p.16(41)，2013文化財ウィーク（32）「嘉永5年(1852)、3度目の火災による焼失の後で建てられた西丸表・中奥の図面です。西丸御殿は、本丸御殿より小さく、略された部分はあるものの、表には広間や白書院、中奥には御座の間、御休息、御小座敷があり、大奥とは御鈴廊下でつながるなど、本丸御殿に準ずる構成でした。この西丸のあったエリアには、明治時代には明治宮殿が建てられます。明治宮殿は昭和20年（1945）の空襲で焼失し、現在ここには、即位の礼などの様々な儀式にも使用される宮殿や宮内庁庁舎があります。（Layout of Nishinomaru Palace）This is a plan of the Shogun's official residence and central government offices in the Nishinomaru Palace, which was built in 1852 after the former buildings had been destroyed for the third time by fire. The area where the Nishinomaru Palace was located was the site for construction of the Meiji Palace in the Meiji era. The Meiji Palace was destroyed in a fire following air raids in 1945. Today the area is home to a palace used for a variety of ceremonies including the sokuirei enthronement ceremony, and offices of the Imperial Household Agency.」
